What to see in Delhi UBC 6

Yesterday I wrote about the  traffic problems of the city.  Traffic problem cannot be avoided because of the increasing population of the city. It is but natural that being the capital city, people from all parts of the country come to seek employment  to Delhi.
Whatever may be the traffic situation, Delhi is a very beautiful city. Delhi is a mixture of old and new.  There are monuments, which were built even before the Mughal period. It has a hoard of multi storey buildings, fly overs and broad roads, due to which the city can be compared to any other grand city of the world. It is the amalgamation of new and old. Given below are some of the spots which are famous and worth seeing.
Kutub Minar
Kutub Minar is one of the oldest monuments of Delhi. In olden people were allowed to go up to the top, it was closed after an accident in which many school children died.
Humayun's Tomb

This is Humanyu's Tomb.It was renovated recently. The lights at night add to its glory.

Red Fort
This is the famous Red Fort . From the ramparts of Red Fort  the Prime Minister unfurls the National flag on Independence Day.
Parliament House
This the Parliament House, where Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha sessions are held. Before Independence , many central Govt. offices were housed here. .

Rashtrapati Bhawan
This is the  Rashtrapati Bhawan, in which the President of India lives.

Jama Masjid
This  is  the famous Jam Masjid, where thousands of people can read the holy Kuran
Lotus Temple
This is  the lotus temple, which is called the all religion temple.

North and South Blocks

And these are the North and South Blocks, the seats of power of the Central govt. They are illuminated every year on Republic Day.

  11. Loved the photo tour of Delhi Ushaji, it brought back memories of our family trip nearly a decade ago. All cities are growing beyond what they were built for and that spills over as traffic power shortage and other problems.
