The poor housewife!! UBC Day 22

Mona and Suresh were sitting in the living room after dinner. It was past ten, but Suresh was

engrossed in reading the news paper.  Mona got up and said,"I am going to sleep. Good night". and

left the room.  She went to the kitchen, cut the vegetables for the next day and kept them in the frig.

She, then went to the bathroom, collected all the clothes for washing and put them in the washing

machine .  Then she entered the children's bedroom. The elder boy, Sameer had slept, but the

younger one, Sanjay was still sitting. Mona asked him,why he had not slept, he said, " I cannot do

this sum. Teacher will be angry if I  don't do it". Mona helped him to complete the sum. Then she

took out the school uniform of the children and kept  it ready on the table. After finishing  this, she

entered her room and took her's and  Suresh's clothes for the next day. Finally  she was changing into

her night dress, when Suresh entered. He saw her and said,"You have not yet slept. I am sooo tired,I

am off to sleep".

  5. I think sometimes as a Woman we feel its soley our responsibility to do all the household chores. I dont blame men for not sharing the household chores because if we dont express the need to be helped how will they know ??

    1. Ananya, these days most of the women go out for work. If men do not volunteer to help, the burden will be too much for the women.
