Unexpected reunion

Last Saturday, while going to  the University in the 'Metro Train', I met some old friends. I had come to Delhi to collect my mark sheet from the Delhi School of Economics. Oh God, I did not realise that  three years had passed  after I left college. It seemed to be an eternity! After leaving college, I had gone  back to Lucknow, my home town. I had come to Delhi six years ago after graduating in Economics (Hons.) from IT College,Lucknow to study M.A. Economics in the Delhi School of Economics  (DSE). After my M.A. I went back to Lucknow. I got a job  as a lecturer in my old college. My mark sheet had not been received. So I came to collect my mark sheet  from  DSE.
I boarded the Metro from Rajiv Chowk. I was lost in thoughts. Rajesh and myself  always met at Rajiv Chowk. He used to come from Patel Nagar and I from Preet Vihar. We used to board the 9.20 am train. If either of us was late , the other one waited for the next train. We always missed our first class, and went straight to the canteen. Rajesh never took coffee. He  was fond of Campa Cola . I used to take coffee. She thought, "Why I am thinking of the past? That was all over!"
The scene of their last meeting  appeared before her eyes. It was the last day of college. We were in the college canteen. All of a sudden Rajesh asked me my future plans. I told him that I would like to go for a job. "What are your plans for marriage"?, he asked. I had not thought about marriage. I told him that  I was not prepared for marriage. He continued the topic and said,"If I propose to you?" I bluntly told him that marriage was nowhere in my plan of things. He got up and left without a word.
"Oh God , why I am thinking about him? It was a  chapter closed long ago.But I never forgot our last meeting. Was I love with him?"This question bugged me  many times. I had reached the college  and entered the lift to go to the sixth floor.  The lift had hardly started, when,  in a jiffy a man entered the lift. The lift was fully crowded. At the second floor only I and that man were left alone. The man  pressed the button for the sixth floor, but the lift did not move."Oh god the lift is jammed" and he turned. It was a surprise for him and he blurted out,"You! You are the last person I expected to see here." I was also taken by surprise. He came nearer to me and said,"How is you job?' I told him that I was quite happy' All of a sudden he held my hand. I felt as if an electric current  passed through my whole being. I did not reply. He put his arms round my neck and started kissing my lips. I will not say that I did not like it. In fact I also responded by kissing him like mad. "Oh Rajesh, I want you, I have always wanted you, but my ego did not make me acknowledge my love for you".  Suddenly the lift opened and a large crowd of people had collected there. All of them said in union at the pitch of their voice, "Wish you a happy married life".

Buttercups

                                                                      Buttercups
                                                             I dreamt, wow, in multitudes
                                                                          in my garden.

                                                                   Small bees hiding
                                                            inside the yellow buttercups
                                                                            enjoy the nectar.

                                                                           Beautiful buttercups
                                                     soothing yellow hails my eyes,
                                                                                   heart and spirit.

Where to go!

Ah, my thoughts are only for you

Those days gone, wish they are back.

Hand in hand, our dreams were one,

merrily, happily, gaily and cheerfully

two hearts together, never did they part.

I was the apple of your eyes, your smile,

your gaze your touch, were only for me.

How you forgot the days, we were one!

My very touch is now repulsive for you,

My looks, pleading for a moment’s look

are shunned,  hate showing in your glare

Where to go, my heart, where  can I go

In this vast, wide world, no one is mine.

My only wish now is not to live. But will

God take me in His shelter! No, no!

There is no place for me anywhere. No one is

my own! Without your love, where can I go!!!

Little child sleeping in happiness and family love

Adorable: Karen Wiltshire, 46, soothes her subjects to sleep by making sure the babies have eaten before they arrive before swaying the tiny infants and gently stroking their eyelids

Prop forward: Parents often bring in sentimental props for the babies to pose with, such as this rugby ball

Sweet dreams: Ms Witshire takes pictures of the sleeping tots' cute expressions as they dream during the shoots, which usually take around four hours

What a racket: Ms Wiltshire plays the sound of a hairdryer through a mobile phone app to the babies as she has found they are used to the noise from their mothers drying their hair

Snuggled up: Once they are fast asleep, which can take anything from a few minutes to half an hour, Ms Wiltshire positions the babies for the images on comfy throws

  • Maestro: The mother-of-two from Poole, Dorset, has now won an award in Studio Children Photography by the Guild of Photographers (GoP) for her work

Talented: Ms Wiltshire started taking phtographs of newborns two years ago when she discovered she had a talent in soothing and calming babies in order to pose them completely asleep

Gorgeous: When babies go into deep sleep they start to dream and Ms Wiltshire says that if you wait you can be lucky and capture a fantastic smile or a gorgeous pout

Snugly: Photographs of the babies wrapped up in blankets as they snooze are also a hit with Ms Witlshire's clients
